FMSC Hunger Bulletin | April 2026

Each meal you pack, fund and pray over equips FMSC partners to do transformative work around the world. Hunger relief is usually just part of what our partners do — but food is the foundation for so much more.

The world’s largest humanitarian crisis — and far too easy for the world to miss.

Famine is no longer a warning in Sudan. It’s here.

Sudan | Africa

Sudan’s conflict has entered a fourth year. What is now the world’s largest humanitarian crisis is growing even worse, while global response continues to fall short. Famine has already been confirmed in parts of the country, and the U.N. says 24.6 million people are facing acute hunger.

Sudan the world's largest humanitarian crisis

This is the kind of crisis the world can overlook because it feels far away, complicated or too big to touch.

But you don’t have to look away. You can see the need for what it is — and respond with something real.

When hunger reaches this level, children are often the first to suffer.

Food can’t end a war. But it can meet the need for children and families trapped in the middle of this crisis. It can help strengthen a child today and help a family make it through another day.

When you give today, you feed children and families who need food now. Even in places where it’s easier to look away.
