Stories of Feeding God's Children Hungry in Body & Spirit
Each meal you pack, fund and pray over equips FMSC partners to do transformative work around the world. Hunger relief is usually just part of what our partners do — but food is the foundation for so much more.
Nearly 5 million women and children in Afghanistan are expected to need treatment for malnutrition in 2026.
Afghanistan| Middle East
Afghanistan is being squeezed by crisis after crisis. The 2025 drought was one of the worst in a decade. It affected more than half the country and caused widespread crop failures. Now, conflict in the region is adding even more pressure to families already struggling with economic distress, earthquakes and forced returns.
The World Food Programme recently warned, “We cannot afford to look away.”

Today, one in three Afghans — 17.4 million people — need urgent food assistance, including 4.7 million facing emergency levels of hunger. Women and children are among those hit hardest as families already on the edge run out of food and ways to cope.
